E-POSTCARDS

How do we remind those in power that some Haiyan-displaced residents are still living in a danger zone where they were almost killed? This was the question that propelled our project to fruition. And so we have been working with some displaced residents to tell their story through compelling photos that come with a bite-size story—postcards from a disaster zone—that we have been sending out to decisionmakers.

Every year, we supervise a photowalk activity to capture postcards. During our first year in 2016, these postcards were sent out through social media only. Since our second year, we have been ramping up our efforts by organizing public events like exhibits and panel discussions.
